Canva built an AI image tool for people who need to edit the result
Canva has launched Craft, its own AI image generator for posters, social posts and other designs. You can try it now in Dream Lab, in the bottom-left panel of Canva.
Craft plans the layout before it makes the image. It works out where things should go, how big they should be and what words need to appear. Canva says this makes it easier to change one part without accidentally changing everything else.
The editing is what caught my attention. Canva says Craft works well with Magic Layers, a separate tool that breaks an image into pieces you can edit. So if a generated poster is almost right, you may be able to fix the part you don’t like instead of asking the AI to start over. Craft doesn’t automatically turn every image into an editable design; Magic Layers is the extra step.
Canva has made Craft available to users worldwide. It still lists small print among the things it wants to improve, so check the words before you put a design in front of customers.

Your AI assistant can log in without learning your password
1Password has announced a way for AI assistants to sign in to your accounts without seeing your passwords. It’s called 1Password for Agents, and it means you won’t have to paste a password into a chat to let a supported assistant use a website.
When the assistant reaches a login page, it asks for access. You see which account it wants to use and approve or deny the request on your own device. If you approve, 1Password fills in the password or one-time code directly. The assistant gets into the account, but it doesn’t get the password or access to your whole password vault.
That’s useful, but it doesn’t make everything the assistant does safe. Once it’s signed in, it may be able to read private information or take actions on that website. You’re still deciding whether to let it into the account, even though you’re no longer handing it the password.
The feature is included in Individual and Family plans on 1Password.com; accounts on its .eu and .ca services aren’t supported yet. Connections for Meta’s Muse and Grok Bot are rolling out over the coming days. Other assistants will follow, so check the supported list before expecting yours to work. Connecting an assistant is optional.
